MEET THE FARMER

Oak Ridge Farms is a working farm, specialty cut flower farm, farmstay, and wedding and event venue located in Zebulon, North Carolina, just outside Raleigh. Founded by David Duong in 2013, Oak Ridge Farms began with a passion for agriculture and has grown into a destination where farming, flowers, hospitality, and unforgettable celebrations come together.

David’s connection to agriculture began long before Oak Ridge Farms. Growing up in Virginia, he developed an early appreciation for livestock, poultry, gardening, and working the land. That passion eventually brought him to North Carolina State University, where he worked in Poultry Science before leaving in 2016 to pursue Oak Ridge Farms full-time.

As the farm evolved, so did David’s vision for it. In 2019, he began growing specialty cut flowers, eventually developing an extensive dahlia breeding program and introducing unique Oak Ridge Farms dahlia varieties. What started as another agricultural venture became an important part of the farm and a way to share something grown here with customers across the country.

Today, Oak Ridge Farms has grown far beyond where it started. Guests can experience the countryside through the Oak Ridge Farmstay, enjoy the beauty and character of a working North Carolina farm, or gather here for weddings, celebrations, reunions, and special events.

Located in Zebulon, NC, within convenient driving distance of Raleigh, Wake Forest, Wendell, Knightdale, Louisburg, and surrounding communities, Oak Ridge Farms offers an authentic rural setting where agriculture and hospitality meet.

For years, David has grown food for the table and flowers for life’s special moments. Today, Oak Ridge Farms is growing something more—a place where people gather, memories are made, and new families begin.
