MEET THE FARMER

David, Owner and Operator of Oak Ridge Farms, was born in Williamsburg, VA and grew up in the small town of West Point, VA. Oldest Son to a Virginia native mother and a Vietnamese immigrant father, David was raised by his father who taught him the importance of food and had a close connection with raising various types of poultry, Chickens, Ducks, Quail, and Geese, as well as gardening. The fall after his high school graduation in 2005, David attended North Carolina State University, studying Livestock and Poultry Management. David started working for NCSU in 2006 for the Poultry Science Department.

In 2013 David started Oak Ridge Farms. He first started raising chickens for eggs and meat, soon he added pigs. In April of 2016, David resigned from NCSU to pursue farming full-time at Oak Ridge Farms
